Monologue Mondays: Setting Yourself up for Audition Season

Get ready for the 2024 audition season! In this 4-week workshop we will be selecting, preparing, and taping two contrasting monologues that truly feature where your wheelhouse meets your wishlist.

Monologues are…

• still being used all the time for EPAs and workshops/generals with agents, managers and casting directors.

• a calling card that showcases the kinds of roles you want to play, the stories you want to tell, the genres you are being called to explore.

• a great way to get your chops in good shape!

There is something about you choosing to perform a monologue that feels like you have your roots in theatre – that you believe in developing and strengthening your craft as an artist. And that is a very good thing, especially for industry professionals in the New York market, many of whom got their start in theatre.
